Looking for a flat bed business class flight deal to Los Angeles, San Diego, Vegas or other destinations on the west coast?

British Airways, American Airlines, and a few of the other OneWorld airline partners are offering compelling business class fares to Los Angeles and a few other west coast destinations, but they probably won’t last long.

Considering that the recent economy and premium economy fares have been “sky-high” (pun intended) this is a great opportunity to jump on a deal.

Business Class Travel Dates

There’s a plethora of working dates in January, February and March of 2023, if you want to get planning. Your focus should be on flights originating from cities like Dublin (DUB) and other European cities like Budapest (BUD) and Cork (ORK). There are likely some others.

Some flexibility in dates is important; having a bit more focus on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday departures should yield the best results, but our Google Flights links below show all the options. Finding a comfortable flight deal in business class to the US West Coast can often be a bit of a hunt, so this is great.

Most options seem to be from Dublin and include destinations like Los Angeles (LAX), San Diego (SAN), and Palm Springs (PSP). The lowest fares available seem to hoover around £1216.

Pay close attention to elapsed travel time on some of these flights. It is pretty easy to find Los Angeles flights with one connection that is rather short. Some destinations like Palm Springs will require two connections and a lot more travel time.

Another cool possibility is some of the Las Vegas Pricing. The outbound flights are pretty decent with one stop at LHR and then nonstop into LAS on BA275. Just note that the layover at LHR is a few hours. Also, be aware that the returns are often double connections. If you do decide to visit Las Vegas, do not miss an opportunity to dine at DTF, you won’t be disappointed!

Finding and Booking These Flights

You might be able to find cheaper pricing on OTAs, but most of these fares are easily bookable on the British Airways and American Airlines websites. You can start at Google Flights and follow the links to British Airways and American Airlines.

One of the reasons that I like the flights to Los Angeles is the option to fly on the British Airways A380 (BA 268 and BA 269) with an upgrade.

Consider setting an ExpertFlyer alert to upgrade with Avios from British Airways Club World to First Class, with the full understanding that First Class upgrades to LAX are pretty tough. If you can’t find First Class space, then you’ll want to pick one of the Boeing 777 flights with Club Suites.

As mentioned in prior flight deal articles, Kayak in the UK has lower prices occasionally; it might be worth a double check. Let us know what deals you have found and booked to the US West Coast for 2023.
