Traveling and eating is not always the easiest. With your body clock messed up, dodgy airplane food and overall poor and unhealthy options at the airport, it’s hard to know when, what or where to feed yourself. Fortunately, some airports around the world upping their game with quality restaurants we’d be happy to eat any day – airport or not. If you’re still not happy with airport food, use these tips to get into an airport lounge, at least there you’re not paying for it!

Sushi Kyotatsu – Narita Airport

Amazingly tasty, authentic, fresh sushi at a reasonable price – located in Terminal 1 opposite gate 33.

Restaurant Top Air – Stuttgart Airport

Serving fine dining worthy food, it’ll be hard to believe you’re at the airport. The perfect place to enjoy a good meal and glass of wine before a flight – located in Terminal 1.

Plane Food – Heathrow Terminal 5

A Gordon Ramsay restaurant offering a variety of options at not a bad price (for an airport), you can also take your dinner to-go – located airside with runway views.

Sushi Burrito – Changi Airport

Yes – that is sushi in burrito style! It’s fast, cheap, delicious and pretty damn cool – located in Terminal 1

Le Chef – Geneva Airport

A light, airy restaurant with gorgeous views of the runway and Jura Mountains. Good food and drinks but a little on the pricey side – you’re paying for the views.

Hung’s Delicacies – Hong Kong International Airport

Boasting a Michelin Star, this popular airport eatery is nothing too fancy but a good spot to fill up on Chinese food before your flight – located in Terminal 2 on Level 3.

Tortas Frontera – O’Hare International Airport

If you didn’t get to a Rick Bayless restaurant whilst in Chicago (which you should), fear not, it’s not too late, you can check out his excellent, tasty offerings at the airport – located in Terminals 1, 3 and 5.

Raj Indian Restaurant – Incheon Airport

A casual, comfy and not too pricey spot with a range of Indian dishes – because who doesn’t fancy a curry before taking a long flight.

Soprafino – Hamad International Airport

For some standard American/Italian cuisine this is the spot, you can expect some decent pasta, pizza and burgers in a quiet setting – located near duty free in the departure area.

Airbräu – Munich Airport

The only brewery at any airport in the world (typical it’s in Germany), fun atmosphere and live entertainment – located between terminal 1 and 2.
