Traveling and eating is not always the easiest. With your body clock messed up, dodgy airplane food and overall poor and unhealthy options at the airport, it’s hard to know when, what or where to feed yourself. Fortunately, some airports around the world upping their game with quality restaurants we’d be happy to eat any day – airport or not. If you’re still not happy with airport food, use these tips to get into an airport lounge, at least there you’re not paying for it!

Serving fine dining worthy food, it’ll be hard to believe you’re at the airport. The perfect place to enjoy a good meal and glass of wine before a flight – located in Terminal 1.

Sushi Burrito – Changi Airport

Yes – that is sushi in burrito style! It’s fast, cheap, delicious and pretty damn cool – located in Terminal 1

A light, airy restaurant with gorgeous views of the runway and Jura Mountains. Good food and drinks but a little on the pricey side – you’re paying for the views.

Hung’s Delicacies – Hong Kong International Airport

Boasting a Michelin Star, this popular airport eatery is nothing too fancy but a good spot to fill up on Chinese food before your flight – located in Terminal 2 on Level 3.

If you didn’t get to a Rick Bayless restaurant whilst in Chicago (which you should), fear not, it’s not too late, you can check out his excellent, tasty offerings at the airport – located in Terminals 1, 3 and 5.

Raj Indian Restaurant – Incheon Airport

A casual, comfy and not too pricey spot with a range of Indian dishes – because who doesn’t fancy a curry before taking a long flight.

For some standard American/Italian cuisine this is the spot, you can expect some decent pasta, pizza and burgers in a quiet setting – located near duty free in the departure area.

Airbräu – Munich Airport

The only brewery at any airport in the world (typical it’s in Germany), fun atmosphere and live entertainment – located between terminal 1 and 2.
