The Deals

British Airways are back with incredible premium economy deals out of Oslo and Stockholm. If you can use points or a cheap flight to get to either city (assuming you’re not already there), you can save thousands on great flights. Round trip flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Dubai are just £470. If you want to upgrade to flat bed business class on the long haul route, you’ll pay just 20,000 miles each way and virtually no additional cash. Yeah – round trip business class £470 and 40,000 points. That’s a ridiculous deal. And since you’re starting with a cash ticket, you’ll earn both miles and status points on these flights.

  1. Just tried to book this. Got the price of £470 for the tickets but have just called to upgrade to be told it’s 60000 avios each plus £92 ish to upgrade the lhr-sfo-lhr sectors or same money and 73000 to upgrade all four sectors. Why is it so much more than the article says?

    1. Adrian. It depends on Peak/Off Peak. Depending on when you’re flying it can be 20K per sector for the long haul. There’s no point in upgrading the short haul. Ask for a manual calculation of the upgrade costs, or at least – an explanation. The difference should be negligible.
