When people use the word “scene” Los Angeles is the kind of place that comes to mind. In every way shape or form, there’s a scene going on – and food is no exception. If you’re looking for an absolutely delicious, casual outing, without the fancy price tags, these eateries around the city are sure to tantalize your taste buds. One might even say – they’re stars in the making.

What started off as a food truck now has firm establishments on Pico Blvd in Hollywood as well as Venice. With an ppen kitchen, quick and friendly service, and a mouth watering fusion menu, it’s impossible to go wrong.  Pico truly offers one of the most delicious tacos we’ve tasted north of the border! If you’re heading to Los Angeles, you have to make a stop at one of their locations.

With multiple locations throughout Los Angeles, there’s really no excuse not to go. And if you’re coming off a long flight – it’s the perfect pick me up. Clever slogans, excellent pastries and a ten dollar latte that’s worth every penny – honestly. Four shots of grand cru espresso meet the only almond milk we’ve ever enjoyed in a heavenly match – need we say more? Stop here for breakfast when all the home baked pastries are in top form, or throughout the day for the perfect coffee and snack break. Their double chocolate cookie is divine.

All the “hip” kids are moving downtown – and no one loves spice like a hipster. Badmaash is a laid back, friendly, family run restaurant with its own spin – set in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Aside from classics and munchie pleasers, you’ll have to trust us, but you must try the India meets Canada: Chicken Tikka Poutine. It’s delicious and if you’re hungover from a night at the nearby Standard Hotel, it’s what dreams are made of. But really you can’t go wrong with any order. The Saag Paneer is also amongst the best we’ve had outside of India.

If you’re looking for a quick, light bite to eat, this is the place. A not-too-surprising menu of sandwiches, salads and pastries make this place a reliable choice,  but inventive, top quality fresh ingredients – elevate this spot above the others. Whatever the season, you simply must not leave without trying the warm turmeric latte, a heart-warming mug of pure pleasure. It’s the best turmeric latte we’ve had.

No traveler likes waiting in lines, but finding this food truck and waiting is a must in Los Angeles. Otherwise, the Gardena location is well worth a visit – if impatience really is a problem for you. The delicious spin on Mexican food offers a meal you will not soon forget, with richness in every single bite. But of course, no grease. Most definitely try the quesadillas!
