Delta’s newest and best trick is flash sales. The airline picks a destination and slashes the number of Skymiles needed for round trip flights into a fraction. In the latest installation, flights to Mexico are going for just 12,000 Skymiles round trip. Even with taxes and fees of $100 round trip, this is an amazing way to jet off to Mexico for 12,000 points and about $100 per person. That’s an extreme bargain. These Delta Skymiles deals can expire at any moment, so if you’re looking for travel in the next year – get searching! We recommend using the five week “flexible dates” calendar to find the lowest prices using miles.

These deals are available from Atlanta, Nashville, Boston, Baltimore, Fort Lauderdale, New York (JFK), Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, New Orleans, Chicago or San Diego. Many more cities are likely available as well. You can jet off to Mexico City, Cancun, San Jose Del Cabo, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta and Ixtapa.

These Delta Flash Sale deals are available for travel from July 2018 thru May 2019. You’ll find the best availability in December of 2018  and January, February and March of 2019. Not every date will be available, but if you use the “flexible dates” option when searching on Delta.com you’ll see any dates where the prices are 50% off or better. Yep, these deals usually require more than 25,000 round trip per person!
