Pad Thai in Thailand, anyone?
Bangkok is one of the street food capitals of the world. From the michelin starred wok of Jay Fai to the famed night time markets, if you like food, there are few more extra sensory experience on earth, than a trip to Bangkok. Oh, and if you like rooftop pools with strong, cold drinks and warm sunshine, you’ve also picked a winner. Qatar Airways is offering exciting sale fares to Bangkok, with round trip flights for just £375 on a five star airline. And hey, with their upgrade auctions, you could end up scoring an even better deal!
Qatar Airways is promoting their relatively new flights out of Gatwick, launching exclusive fares if you’re willing to depart from London LGW instead of LHR. If you can make that work, you can lock in round trip flights on 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which help to reduce jet lag and keep you feeling fresh – all in for just £375 round trip. If you can’t stand Gatwick, you can pay about £20 more for Heathrow. For those that hate long flights, Qatar offers a great way to get to Bangkok, since the flights are split into about a 6.5 hour flight from London to Doha, and a 6 hour flight to Bangkok. This gives travelers an opportunity to stretch their legs, in the
shopping mall airport that is Doha Hamad International, rather than suffer through 12+ hours straight in economy.
These deals are available from September 2018 thru May 2019, for departures on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Leave another day, pay more. For most dates, a 7 day minimum stay is required. Given Bangkok’s proximity to the Thai Islands, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, for cool side trips – that shouldn’t really be too hard. Plus, you’ll find some of the cheapest five star hotels in the world in Southeast Asia.
Easy! Hit up Qatar Airways website. Any search (perhaps not over peak December holiday time) should turn up £375 flights if you enter LON or LGW for your departure and BKK for Bangkok for your destination. Find a seven day or more span of time, leave from Monday thru Thursday and it should be there. At these prices, Southeast Asia is a real steal. If you find yourself struggling on the Qatar Airways site, here’s an example on Google Flights. If you can’t find it on here, you really need to brush up on your internet.
