Champagne, anyone?

Direct transcontinental flights between East Coast and West Coast hubs are rarely cheap in any cabin. So when the opportunity to pay $399 one way for a fully flat bed, champagne, multi course dining and lounge access presents itself – that’s exciting, especially when you can use just 12,000 points to fly back the other way for “free”. United and Delta are aggressively rolling out their new flat beds on more routes to compete with JetBlue Mint, so they’re all dropping deals everywhere!

Delta, JetBlue and United are rolling out flat beds on more and more transcontinental routes. The latest major effort: Boston. United and Delta have both launched aggressive sales at $399 one way or $799 round trip, starting in either direction. You can jet between Boston, Seattle and San Francisco for $399 with Los Angeles also included for $93 more. JetBlue also has New York to Las Vegas on sale in Mint class for $520 one way. With one way economy flights for the other direction starting at just 12,000 points and $5.60 one way, this could easily turn into a sweet deal.

  1. Every time I need a transcon flight and want a flat bed product it prices out over $2500. Actually just saw over $4000 for a flight I checked the other day. The prices just seem ridiculous and $800 RT is a bargain.
