Winter, spring or summer in NYC?
It’s no secret that one of the best ways to save on plane tickets can be starting from a nearby city where prices are lower. By nearby, that could still mean a two hour flight, which cuts into quite a bit of holiday time and sometimes, makes the savings hard to justify. That’s why these flight deals today are particularly good. If you’re in the UK, there are finally some solid deals which take you to the bright lights in style without the grind…
British Airways has launched its “Centenary Sale”, which means there are some good bargains on Oneworld flights out of the UK. One such bargain: New York in business class.
Flights from London start at £1257 round trip, but if you can start from Edinburgh prices drop to £1105. Of course, you could also use some Avios to upgrade the flight to New York to First Class for around 20,000 points, which is cool.
The Dates You Can Travel
These deals are for travel from December 2019 thru June 2020. If you want to get the best prices, you’ll need to fly on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and stay in NYC for at least one Saturday night.
Basically, a trip departing on a Wednesday and coming back Sunday or Monday would be fine, as would any trip of one week or longer too. If you can swing that, the dates are wide open, even during peak Christmas travel.
How To Book These Deals
British Airways have these prices at £1369 from London or £1190 from Inverness, but via Skyscanner you can find them slightly lower. Here’s a link for £1100 Inverness to NYC and one for £1257 London to NYC as well. Simply play with dates, hit search and book something great.
While you’re in New York, here’s what you shouldn’t do, and here are a bunch of amazing things to do to make the most of your time in one of the best cities on the planet!
