Scoring a free hotel night has never been easier.
No – really, it may not even involve putting pants on (no judgement) or leaving your house, though obviously you’ll want to change that when you check in. It might just take a couple hours, and for a free night, that could definitely be worth the time.
In some cases, sending just a single email could be all you need to reap the benefits of a $1000 a night hotel. Long story short: there are so many things you should be doing to earn free travel, and if you follow the advice in this post, you’ll soon be staying in nice hotels where the price is more than right. Why not try all nine?
This promotion is as easy as one, two – three. If you haven’t signed up to Marriott Bonvoy Rewards, you can earn a free night at many nice Marriott Hotels, just for completing two stays of one night or more. You must register with this link.
Your two stays must be at least one night apart. Once you’ve completed your two stays, you’ll earn a certificate good for a night in any hotel up to Category 5 – all around the world. You can use the free night at a later date of your choosing!
Marriott, Hyatt, IHG and Hilton each offer credit cards which come with more than enough points for a free night.
All you need to do is sign up, complete the minimum spending requirements and voila – you’ll either have a free night certificate, or enough hotel points to potentially book multiple free nights, sometimes even in super baller hotel rooms. This is a lucrative way to turn your everyday spending into free hotels.
7. Hotels.com Stay 10 Get 1 Free
For people who hate complicated points programs but love free nights, this is a pretty tasty rebate on your hotel bookings. For every 10 nights you book through Hotels.com, you’ll get a free night worth the average cost of the 10 nights you booked. 6. Marriott Buy 2 Get 1 Free
Marriott has an ongoing promotion in Europe, Middle East and Africa where you can get your third night free on any booking using Mastercard. That’s pretty easy! Simply head over to this site, search for reservations and before you know it, you’ll be paying for two nights instead of three. The offer is combinable with other promotions, allowing even potentially greater savings.
5. Airbnb Referral Credit
Ok – ok, it’s not a “hotel”, but earning up to $40 for every friend that tries Airbnb is incredible. Just recommend the service to your friends, and when they sign up to Airbnb and complete a stay, you’ll earn between $25-40 per person. Three friends would give you $120 bucks. You can earn an unlimited amount of Airbnb credit. Start here if you haven’t already signed up.
Here’s a few handy tips to earn points on your Airbnb stays too!
Hyatt offers a very lucrative ongoing promotion, and it’s pretty easy. Try five of their hotel brands and receive a free night. You can stay just one night in each to complete the promotion, which over the course of a year isn’t all that hard. You must pay for your stays for them to count. Once you’ve completed five brands, you’ll receive a free night at any hotel up to Category 4.
3. Citi Prestige 4th Night Free
For U.S. based travelers who stay four or more nights at least once or twice a year, this is a brilliant way to save. The Citi Prestige offers the 4th night free on all hotel stays. That’s right: you get a free night every time you book a stay of four nights or more. You can even combine this offer with many promotions to save more or potentially even score two free nights on a four night stay!
2. Fairmont & AccorHotels Buy 2 Get 1 Free
Fairmont and AccorHotels brands such as Sofitel, Raffles, MGallery and Pullman are offering a buy 2 get 1 free promotion and there are more free nights for longer stays. We love many of the hotels within this group, particularly in Asia and everyone loves a free night!
1. Marriott Refer A Friend
Want a free night at five star hotel, like a Ritz Carlton? You can refer up to five friends to the Marriott Rewards program, and when you do, you’ll earn 2,000 points for each of their first five stays. That could amount to a total of 50,000 points, enough for a night at a top five star hotel. Even if you don’t make it to 50,000, many great hotels start at 20,000 or less giving you great potential to score a free night.
Are you taking advantage of these free night opportunities?
