Hyatt has had a heck of a year, adding boutique luxury properties all around the world, acquiring new hotel groups and also managing to avoid coining a verb, where their loyalty program is synonymous with getting duped. In 2019, that was no small feat. The World Of Hyatt loyalty program is now out with its latest promotion for autumn and winter 2019, with the chance to earn 2X or 3X points on all stays. Here’s the full details, including where and how to register. You’ll probably want to…
No bonus points for the marketing team who came up with the name, but you can earn yourself a considerable amount of points by registering for the new Hyatt points promo, which kicks in officially today, September 9th for registration.
For stays from September 15th-December 15th, World Of Hyatt Members will earn either 2X or 3X points on each stay, depending on the property – after their first stay. Basically, get a quick stay out of the way, because your second and following stays are when the points bonuses kick in. You’re limited to earning up to 200,000 points between the two promos, with 100,000 from the 2X and 100,000 from the 3X.
To summarize the new Bonus Journeys promotion…
- 2X Points at over 710 World of Hyatt hotels, including all SLH and MLife properties, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt and Andaz properties.
- 3X Points at over 350 Hyatt Place Hotels, including cities like New York, Tokyo and London where there are excellent options.

That’s an extremely compelling package. With bonus points awarded on the final hotel bill, it’s never a bad idea to charge any meals or incidentals to the room, rather than paying by credit card. It’s nice to see Hyatt out with a strong new fall travel bonus program, joining IHG and Hilton, each of which are offering their own bonus challenges. Seeing stronger earning bonuses on Hyatt Place hotels, which are generally lower in price than luxury options such as Park Hyatt is a nice touch, allowing more people to get into the mix. The only question is: where to?
