When beds are the same price as cramped seats: go beds.

Sure, flying Zurich to Israel is only listed at 3 hours and 50 minutes, but wouldn’t it be more fun if you could take advantage of a lie-flat business class seat? Maybe a bed doesn’t matter quite as much on a flight of this length, but if the price is the same or, in this case, better than all other options it certainly can’t hurt. Right? While many business class flights on the route will only fly with typical intra-European business class seats, you can get these lie-flats for as little as $560 round-trip. That’s huge.

Swiss flies an A330 on the route between Zurich and Tel Aviv. Rather than cramming yourself into seats with the same legroom as economy, you can actually convert your seat into a bed once you’re in the air for the long haul segment. You can peep that experience here. Flyertalk user RVH85 was kind enough to share this deal, which allows departures from Paris, Amsterdam or Nice, all around the same price.

Oh, and don’t forget that you can enjoy the awesome SWISS business class lounge in Zurich during your layover. Not only will you have plenty of food and drink options, but you’ll have some amazing runway views. You can even sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy some plane spotting. Just bring a coat if you’re going in winter!

When To Book Your Trip To Israel

You can find plenty of space on this route mid-February through March, May through July and September through November. With flights from 492 EUR to 507 EUR, this is an excellent time to try a true business class product on a shorter flight and Tel Aviv is beautiful in these seasons.

How To Book SWISS Business Class to Israel

You can book these flights directly with SWISS or with Expedia (for about 15 EUR more). To speed up your search, you can use Google Flights to see multiple dates at these prices and then head over to Swiss to book direct. Booking direct with Swiss ensures the easiest customer service experience, and also a chance to upgrade to First!
