a row of seats in an airplane

“I don’t mind that the baby is crying, I’m just looking enviously at her bassinet”

No matter what seat you end up in, flying economy is an “experience”- every time.

Rather than take to social media to offer up an eye rolling selfie, one brilliant artist took a different approach to the hours in cramped quarters. Christoph Niemann, one of the world’s most respected sketch artists documented his flight across the Atlantic Ocean in economy- one hilarious drawing at a time, which we will present to you in their entirety.

The man gets us. He really does…

a drawing of a person's hand
a notebook with writing on it
a sheet of paper with drawings of food
a sketch of a banana and a leaning tower
a drawing of buttons on a piece of paper
a woman sitting in a chair
a drawing of a person sleeping on a chair
a drawing of a baby in a cradle
a pencil drawing of a basket
a diagram of a book and a foot
a drawing of a pretzel
a drawing of food on a paper
