Hilton Hotels has an aggressive campaign to earn you more points, and get more heads in their beds. Everyone should be happy, because everyone can earn more points, but people who have a Hilton credit card can earn even more points.

Here’s everything you need to know about ‘Power Up’, the new bonus campaign from Hilton, and how to get signed up and on track to maximize your earning for stays from September 7th through December 31st, 2021. The promotion is now live.

Spoiler alert: Diamond members with a Hilton credit card can earn up to 54 points per dollar spent. That’s absolutely massive!

Hilton Power Up: 2X or 3X Bonus

Hilton Power Up is the latest bonus points campaign to double, or triple the standard number of Hilton Points earned on hotel stays. On the face, it’s relatively simple, but it gets much better if you’re extra loyal.

The ‘Power Up’ campaign applies to all Hilton Honors members who register, and complete stays between September 7th and December 31st, 2021.

Hilton Honors awards 10 points per dollar spent at most brands to general members, and more to elite Gold or Diamond members, so everyone is getting at least 20 points per dollar with this promotion, but Gold and Diamond earn more, up to a 100% bonus.

Furthermore, when you pay with a Hilton American Express Card, you earn 3X points on all stays, so (3 x 10 points per dollar) via this ‘Power Up’ promotion.

This means a regular Hilton Honors member with a Hilton Amex card would earn at least 30 points per dollar spent, in addition to additional points earning from a Hilton credit card. A Gold or Diamond would earn more.

Credit cards such as the Hilton Amex ‘Aspire’ earn 14X Hilton Points per dollar, in addition to the Hilton bonuses earned via this “powerful” promotion.

Here’s the ‘Power Up’ lingo from Hilton…

Registered Hilton Honors members will earn Double (2X) Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay during the Promotion Period or Triple (3X) Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay during the Promotion Period for using a Hilton Honors Credit Card. “Double Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. “Triple Points” means for each dollar spent using your Hilton Honors Credit Card on stays at a property within the Hilton portfolio during the Promotion Period, you will receive a bonus equal to twice the number of Base Points earned during a stay as long as the primary card member’s Hilton Honors number is on the reservation.

Hilton Honors Credit Cards include: Hilton Honors American Express Card, Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card, Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, Hilton Honors Visa Classic Sumitomo Card, Hilton Honors Visa Gold Sumitomo Card, Hilton Honors Visa Platinum Sumitomo Card, Hilton Honors American Express Premium card, Hilton Honors Platinum Barclaycard and Hilton Honors Credit Card issued by Deutsche Kreditbank AG.

There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that may be earned during the Promotion Period with this offer. However, there are restrictions on the amount of Base Points that can be earned on a single stay at certain brands.

  1. Sorry for the off-topic, but someone who has an Accor ALL account in countries other than Brazil, could simulate a reservation and check if Accor is limiting the payment with points to a maximum of 10% to 30% ???
ALL accounts of Brazilians have this limitation.
Thank you very much in advance..
