Vail, Aspen or just an awesome city break?

Denver is one of the most overlooked cities in America, and it’s really hard to explain why. It’s quite literally a breath of fresh air, with beautiful views, amazing food and outdoor lifestyle all around. It also happens to be a mere drive away from some of the very best skiing in North America, via Aspen and Vail. Right now Virgin Atlantic and Delta are offering great business class deals, at just £1199 round trip.

UPDATE: Too slow, these deals are now all SOLD OUT. Head here to learn how to never miss one again…

  1. Great deal post. Thanks for all your work – love the blog.

I live in the Denver area so I thought I’d give a quick comment. If you are looking to ski you should consider the later dates. Some winters bring snow in October/November but it is unlikely to be good snow that early in the season. If I was flying in from the UK then I would certainly wait until December (or later) to guarantee great powder. Also, we have lots of slopes in CO with very different personalities. Aspen and Vail are great but you can find great skiing at cheaper, less busy, and less posh options on surrounding mountains.

TL/DR: Don’t fly to Denver to ski in Oct/Nov. Book December or later.

  2. Virgin and Delta are offering £1199 ($1500) round trip flights direct from London. Its not direct though, neither of the airlines fly direct to Denver, all require a change.
