British Airways is back with hot premium economy deals from many of their competitors most popular cities. Starting from Zurich, Dublin, Inverness or Oslo you can jet off to California in premium economy starting at £590 round trip. If you’ve got points,  you can upgrade the long haul flight from London to Los Angeles or San Francisco using about 30,000 points each way, if availability exists. Even if you don’t live in one of these cities, it can be worth using points or finding a cheap flight to start the deal, since the savings may still be far greater than prices elsewhere.

These deals are available from October 2018 thru May 2019. Dates around peak December holidays may be unavailable, but you’ll find these prices wide open from November thru March with plenty of dates on either end. Los Angeles weather is just about perfect all year round, and San Francisco is great, even if it’s not warm.

  1. As I live in London can I skip the Zurich to London flight and just use the LHR to SFO to get to San Fran using this premium economy deal? Or do I have to start the whole journey from Zurich to get to SFO?

Virgin, Lufthansa, Norwegian and Air France are just some of the alternatives for PE from Europe and they all clean their cabins, offer working AV or WiFi and behave with less distain for their customers; loading enough food, responses from customer services in under 5weeks, more reasonable charges for “extras”. AND the net price is commonly lower than the BestAvoided “sale”
