The crown jewel of business class fare hunting is finding a semi affordable, or rather not completely extortionate way of getting to Australia. It’s far, and in any cabin that doesn’t allow you to lay flat, relax and forget that you’re on an airplane, it’s painful. Today, a fantastic fare has returned, which gets you to Melbourne on an airline with a fantastic business class product, all for £1830 round trip. That ain’t bad…

The Flight Deals To Australia

Etihad has relaunched its lowest business class fares from Gothenburg or Stockholm to Australian cities, with Melbourne leading the way. Melbourne is one of the finest cities in the world, so that’s just fine by us. These fares can be routed via London in both directions, as well as Zurich or Brussels. Etihad offers the 787 and A380 on many of these routes, meaning you’ll get their best business class seats on all legs.

The Dates You Can Travel

These bargains are around from mid October 2019 through January 2020, which is a great time to catch prime sun in Australia. Just in case you weren’t aware, when it’s summer in Europe, it’s winter in Australia, and vice versa. Dates where the lowest prices are available on the departure date are found in green below…

All the best prices require just one Sunday night stay, so you could depart on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and leave the next Monday, not that you’d really want to. It’s Australia, stay a while and check out Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide – which people call Radelaide – too.

How To Book These Deals

These prices are available with Etihad and on your favourite online travel agencies. We found the lowest prices on Skyscanner. Here’s a link to those deals from Stockholm for £1830. If you want to spend a few hundred more, Singapore Airlines is also available.

So can you earn miles? Of course you can! You can earn miles with American, Etihad, Korean, SAS, Virgin Australia and more, so even if you don’t often fly Etihad, you can benefit with other loyalty programs. Here’s the ultimate guide to Melbourne, just in case you need any tips…
