To put it mildly, this Black Friday has been a disappointment for travel deal hunters. Too many airlines and hotels are simply trading on the concept of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, without actually showing off any jaw dropping deals. Virgin Atlantic has just broken the stalemate today, launching Upper Class (business class) flights to the USA from £890 round trip and up. That’s pretty damn good.
The Flight Deals
Virgin Atlantic and Delta are out with £890 Upper Class fares to Boston, and if you’re smart, you can even route them via New York to enjoy stunning new A350 Upper Class Suite, rather than the older Airbus A330 Upper Class seats that fly to Boston. Of course, all these deals include use of the Upper Class Wing and Virgin Clubhouse at Heathrow.
New York and Washington DC are both also up for grabs, but those are more in the £1400-£1500 range. Those are great deals for direct travel from London no doubt, but they’re not run out of your meeting to press book scenarios.
The Dates You Can Travel
The lowest prices for the Boston deals are available for Monday or Thursday departures in late February and March 2020. A Sunday night stay is the only requirement, so if you were to leave on a Thursday, you could come back the next Monday for a fun long weekend trip.
The Washington DC deals are available for Tuesday or Wednesday departures over peak summer in July and August. The New York deals are available for Tuesday or Wednesday departures in June, September, October or November. A Saturday night stay is the only requirement on these deals.
How To Book These Fantastic Offers
These £890 deals will expire tomorrow, and availability will go incredibly fast. If you want in, firm up some dates and get booking. Don’t forget that all tickets touching the USA offer 24 hours to cancel for a full refund. These deals can be booked directly with Virgin Atlantic here, on their Black Friday page. You can also find the prices on Skyscanner to Boston, New York or Washington DC.
Here’s a guide to New York City, and also one for Washington DC. You really can’t go wrong in either city, and Spring, Summer or Autumn is a lovely time to visit. Enjoy the trip. It’s hard not to after a few drinks in the Clubhouse…
