Bali is amazing for a few reasons, but if you had to summarize; the views, the ultra cheap living while you’re there and the friendly people win. Oh, and Nasi Goreng!

As to getting there, it’s kinda far. There’s no doubt that £1350 is a lot of money, but when you’re flying more than 11 hours to get somewhere, a flat bed certainly beats an economy seat and for business class it’s actually a bit of a bargain, if you can swing it.

That’s extra true when its Qatar Airways, and you throw in a privacy door to shut the world out, and a great big HD entertainment screen to keep you… entertained.

Qatar Airways has some excellent offers to destinations all over the map via their “24 Hour” sale. One standout offer on the day is Bali, which unlike Bangkok or nearby Singapore, hardly ever sees cheap offers. Departing from Amsterdam, you can lock in £1350 ($175) round trip flights, with Qsuite business class on most, if not all legs.

Here’s a review of the Qatar Airways Qsuite experience.

Dates You Can Ball Out In Bali

These deals are available on scattered dates in June, late July and late August, and then wide open from September 2020 through January 2021, with the exception of blackout dates during December holidays.

You’ll need to stay at least one week in Asia to get the lowest price, so like a Wednesday to Wednesday or something like that. Bali is a great place to move around and explore places like Nusa Lembongan and the Gilli Islands, so that shouldn’t be too difficult.

Any Qatar Airways flights today can use promo code 20FEB20 to take 10% off business class.

These offers are best booked at QatarAirways.com, since you can see up a 15 day calendar of date availability around the days you’re looking for. Just search for your ideal dates (using the info above) and then click flexible calendar in the top right.

Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Bali, including things to avoid. If you want to have your mind blown, hiking up a volcano in darkness is up there too, as is a trip to Nusa Lembongan.

  1. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I dont see Q-Suites on any of the 3 daily DOH-DPS legs for months. On the Flyertalk threads too, it does not look like DPS is a “guaranteed” Q-suites route anyways. So you would only get Q-Suites on the 6.5 hour AMS-DOH leg, if they don’t do an equipment swap Qatar is notorious for doing

  2. All booked, leaving 26 Dec, back 11 Jan, with a 17 hour stop over on the way, so can book £30 5 star hotel, and perhaps see a little of Doha. Not bad for peak, and with the extra BA tier points, will only be 280 off gold for the year. Will need to keep an eye out for other deals. As ever, this Blog is great, many thanks.

    1. Anthony, thanks so much for the kind words. It’s a great way to get there and the price is definitely right. I love Bali! 280 is a perfect amount, being you’ll just need those last two segments in business to get there. If you’re a LHR regular, the first wing is so worth it.
