Though it uses blades rather than jet engines, there’s just nothing more jet set than a helicopter ride into town.

In Monte Carlo, it’s a whole different level. From the crystal blue seas of Nice Cote D’Azur airport, it’s hard to think of anything more James Bond than flying over the truly stunning coast line, landing in style near your Monaco hotel in a chopper. That may be a lot cheaper and more possible than you would’ve thought…

a marina with many boats and buildingsIn one of the coolest deals we’ve ever seen offered, you can live that dream for a lot less than you’d think by booking a package holiday. British Airways and Monaco tourism are offering complimentary helicopter transfers when you book London to Monte Carlo package deals, and we’ve found some under £215 per person.

The Offers

British Airways has launched Monaco flight + hotel packages which include return BA flights and two or more nights of hotel. There are quite a few options from basic hotels to five star stunners, and all the deals include a checked bag for each traveller. While scouring the internet for travel deals, GSTP found one particularly interesting offer.

Surprisingly, there are booking options around £215 per person which include flights and three nights of nice hotel. The legendary Fairmont is available around £330 per person as well. As low as  £430 for three luxurious nights in Monaco with flights and hotels sorted is a cool deal anyway, but adding in the helicopter transfer makes it seriously tempting.

VALIDITY: Bookings must include a flight + hotel for a minimum 2 night stay in a Monte Carlo hotel, your hotel arrival/departure dates must match your flights, UK residents only. Max 8 people per booking.

DATES: For bookings made between 02 May 19 to 21 May 19 for departures between 01 November – 31 December 19.

british airways 787How To Book These Deals

Booking these deals is actually pretty easy. The first step is to visit the BA “Passport to Monaco” page which lists a variety of the offers. When you click through onto a deal, you’ll see it clearly marked if its available for the Passport To Monaco offer which includes free museum entry, the helicopter transfer and other perks. Here’s an example in November. If it’s labeled, just follow the instructions and start getting excited about Monaco.

Remember, this offer expires May 21st, so if you are seriously considering it, you’ll want to have that conversation sooner than later. And also remember – these deals require two people, but finding a travel buddy who wouldn’t mind a trip to Monaco and a helicopter ride shouldn’t be too hard.

  1. Woah, the first offer in 4years that might tempt me back to BA for a flight… The thrill of a ride in a Whirly Bird, especially into such an iconic destination, I can tolerate an hour in a cramped seat with no IFE, slow, no choice food service and the rest of the grumbles that come with handing over more to BA than the competition charge for a superior and more reliable onboard service…
Hope other readers recognize the; rarity, financial value and simple thrill this offer holds.
    Thanks Luigi

  2. Hotel booking with BA holiday offers status points and perks for those who have them? Or will hotels treat these as indirect booking?

  3. I booked one of these back in 2016 in the sale. 3 nights in a 4* hotel, Club Europe flights and both ways helicopter transfer because we went in January and made use of the free museum passes for £300pp. BEST. VALUE. EVER.

It was amazing! I’m tempted to book again – so glad BA have brought back this partnership.

  4. Just spotted that the small print says you have to arrive in Nice before 18:00 to get the helicopter transfer- something to be aware of when booking for a weekend break!

  5. Where do you see that it is UK residents only? I must be looking at a different T&C page? The one linked at the bottom of the Monaco Holidays page doesnt mention this

  6. Amazing, thank you for posting! Have booked for our anniversary, dates worked perfectly, very excited 😀

  7. When I used to work in Monaco, the helicopter for one person from NCE was cheaper than the taxi. So it was easy to justify the expense claim!
