Dear friend of _________,

I must begin our communications with an apology. I am sincerely sorry for all the nights you’ve spent with your friends, hearing them ramble on aimlessly about their vacations, maximizing their points on dining, travel purchases, which credit cards are the best and all that nerdy stuff. It’s hardly riveting conversation, and it was never my intention for you to endure such boring mindless interaction with your favorite people.

I must also apologize for all the horrible photos you’ve had to witness on your favorite social media accounts. All the incredible first and business class flights, five star hotels, infinity pools in remote jungles, and of course the complimentary bottles of champagne your friends are enjoying. It’s just not fair, is it? What must make these photos even more excruciating and unbearable is the knowledge that your friends were able to do these things largely for free. Just putting that obscure hobby of collecting points on all purchases, all travels and other little tricks to work.

You’re close with your friends, sometimes even making somewhere around the same money, or maybe much more, yet they seem to be leading a much more exciting and adventurous life than you do. We must stop that, and I’m afraid there’s only one solution. Ask the friend who tagged you in this post for a few starter tips to dip your feet in. Anyone can collect points and miles, without even flying or traveling, and eventually those points and miles will lead to free or cheap vacations only currently found in your wildest dreams. It’s not as complicated as it first seems, and life is too short to be boring. Vacations are far more fun in real life than in your wildest dreams, so join us. You too can be one of the people who tries to pick up the tab on their card, just for the extra points (while still grabbing the cash from their friends). Every point helps.

Sincerely,

Gilbert, GodSaveThePoints.com
