There’s nothing quite like the feeling of joy on someones face as they unwrap an incredible gift. Or is it when you get to open one? Whatever your preference, shopping for the holidays can be exhausting, and after a day braving through the crowds, an ice cold cocktail, some chef curated food and a little goodie bag sounds pretty much like heaven.
American Express continues to add value to its Platinum Card, with the latest pop up lounge in NYC known as ‘Platinum House’, creating a happy haven for shoppers in the city, wherever they’re coming from. Apparently, they’ll even wrap your gifts…
Amex NYC Pop Up Platinum House Lounge
American Express is throwing a festive house party at its New York City pop up Platinum House, at Union Square. The pop up townhouse will be just steps away from Union Square markets, and easy walking distance from midtown, or Soho shopping. All you need to get in, is an American Express Platinum or Centurion card.
Amex Platinum House Location: 5 East 17th Street, New York City
Platinum House Dates and Hours: November 30th – December 1st from 12PM-5PM daily.
Platinum House Entry: American Express Platinum Card and Centurion Members and their guests. Cardmembers can bring up to 3 guests, provided there’s space. Just bring your card.
The pop up Platinum House will run from November 30th through December 1st, and will provide a place for cardmembers to chill, recoup, recover, store bags, or just get a little loose and into the full holiday spirit after a few cocktails created by Viraj Puri, using locally sourced herbs and spices from Gotham Greens.
After settling in, there’s gift wrapping by Sarah Andelman, protein beverages from Kirsty Godso, a top Nike trainer and as you may have hoped, a selection of food from Cote, Wayan and Legacy Records. Basically, it should be a little like your house, but with people serving you awesome free stuff, and perhaps a few more strangers too.
