Tokyo is the gift that keeps on giving, but you usually won’t be able to receive for long, unless you’ve got deep pockets. It’s an incredibly expensive city for hotels, and that’s true for much of the rest of the country. Hilton has just launched an absolutely incredible pre-Black Friday sale, with 72 hours of 50% off hotels. We’ve checked the savings, and it’s a real 50% – like Conrad Tokyo under $200 a night, as opposed to the usual $400+…

The 50% Off Hilton Flash Sale

If you follow along closely in the world of travel deals, Hilton offers 25-30% off in Asia fairly regularly throughout the year, but in almost all those cases – Japan is never part of it. Perhaps it’s because just about everyone wants to visit Japan, and with the Olympics coming up, soon everyone will!

Whatever the reason, Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea are included in Hilton’s amazing 50% off sale, and so is Guam. The standout deals by GSTP standards include…

  • $92 (£72) per night for the Conrad Seoul
  • $159 (£124) per night for the Conrad Osaka
  • $199 (£150) per night for the Conrad Tokyo
  • $139 (£102) per night for the Conrad Hong Kong

Those are stunning five star hotels, and at these prices, you’d be lucky to find a three star competitor under normal circumstances. For once, 50% off seems to actually mean half price. If you have Hilton Honors benefits via your credit card, or elite status, everything applies – since you’re booking direct with the hotel.

To get the best discount, you must become a Hilton Honors member. It’s free, so why not. Once registered, you’ll enjoy 50% off at some stunning hotels, which could actually make that big 2020 getaway a whole lot more affordable.

As far as travel dates go, these rates must be booked by 5AM GMT on the 29th of November, which means you should really book by the end of the 28th, in most time zones. You can travel any time from today (November 27th, 2019) to June 30th, 2020. Obviously, it won’t help you for the Olympics, but it certainly will for winter and spring travel. At these prices, Asia is incredibly tempting…

  1. From what I observed, the Conrads have been good about having a real 50% whereas the Hiltons (especially the Hilton Tokyo) jacked up their rates substantially pre-sale

Also unfortunately the Conrad Osaka blocked out the nights I needed from the sale. Still got the Conrad Tokyo for 300$/night inc. taxes + 2 free night certs for a 5 night stay in total, and am pretty happy about that.

Also worth noting many people may have an Amex offer for 70$ off 350$+ in spend at Conrad or Waldorf properties, including Japan’s.

  2. When I checked, three of the main Tokyo hotels (Odaiba, Shinjuku and Conrad) were blacked out on the offer for almost all of March and April sadly, so no good for my trip!

  3. I can’t see the sale prices advertised on Hilton Discover for any date or any room type after I click through to book on the Conrad HK… not loaded yet?

  4. Checked Conrads in HK, Osaka and Seoul and could not find one single day with rates at the lowest price they publish and you reference above. For example, the lowest price for a night at the Conrad Seoul between now and June 30 is $140, not $92 (quite a discrepancy). Similar story for Conrads in Osaka and HK… and I checked all dates between now and June30. If you are able to see prices at those low rates, please do share.

    1. Hey Chris,

Historically, these rates have sold out fast, so perhaps some are at the slightly higher tier now. It’s worth checking back to see how inventory moves.

  5. Tried to book for May 2020 and agent states prices fluctuate based on demand and availability. Had him check for the entire month of May for ANY rooms below $300 as part of Winter Sale and there was nothing.

  6. I used this to book the the Hilton Osaka in April and the Hilton Tokyo in May – so it was all working and discounted.. The Hilton prices were discounted more than available on other sites and what they were listed as before.. I couldn’t beat their prices using a free night redemption and hotels.com silver membership…

The Conrad just had very limited dates available, we couldn’t get into the Conrad at Osaka or Tokyo as the dates had gone..

    Good spot GSTP!!

  7. Conrad hong kong comes up at 2600 hkd or about £260 for May which seems a little adrift of £102 the article.

Maybe I’ve missed the boat this time and will have to wait for new year sales.
