Government speeches failed to fully inspire, so states and companies are taking a different approach to getting people vaccinated, which always works: free stuff.

Inspired by the lottery concept, United Airlines is taking their turn, with free ‘premium class’ flights on offer every day, and a few lucky winners coming out with a year of free flights. Getting vaccinated just might be your first class ticket.

United’s ‘Free Flight’ Lottery

United Airlines is offering daily ‘lottery’ style prizes for everyone who uploads their proof of vaccination to the airline. You’ll need to join MileagePlus to enter, and if you are sheepish about sharing, you can still enter too.

Entering online takes seconds and it’s seriously tempting.

During the month of June, 30 winners will receive (2) round trip tickets anywhere United flies, in any class of service they wish. Yep, two flat bed business class tickets to somewhere wonderful and exotic could be yours.

On July 1st, (5) grand prize winners will win an entire year of flights for two, capped at 26 round trips for two people, in any cabin of their choosing. That’s really a beyond epic prize, valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars.

You can enter and upload your deets at the “Your Shot To Fly” webpage.

This Is Brilliant From United

Airlines want to be a part of the conversation again, and get people dreaming of their next getaway, and this promotion not only accomplishes that, but gets people to sign up for the free MileagePlus loyalty program.

This is a fantastic initiative from United which will help to drive vaccinations in the USA and will also give at least 70 people (30 x 2) and (5 x 2) the gift of travel in style. Really, when it comes to gifts, it doesn’t get much better than that. Though in fairness, the new United Quest Card, with 100,000 mile bonus is pretty great too.

I’d say best of luck to you, but as a fellow lottery entrant, I wish you all the worst of luck in United’s ‘free flight’ sweepstakes!
