Takeout and delivery is kind of a big thing in the United States, and that extends to hotel stays too. Not everyone is into dining out right now, but having heavenly food come to your door is always nice. Next time you do, there might be major points in it for you, thanks to a new Marriott and Uber/UberEats partnership.

The new partnership brings the opportunity to earn a significant number of Marriott Bonvoy Points on both rides and food deliveries while in the USA, and earning bonus points for things you do from home or on the road is always the dream.

Here’s what you need to know to maximize this exciting new Marriott Bonvoy Points earning opportunity.

Uber x Marriott Bonvoy Partnership

Uber and Marriott Bonvoy have linked up to offer Bonvoy Points for every dollar spent on select levels of rides with Uber; and for food deliveries, whether you’re at home, in a hotel or anywhere else.

The full list of ways to earn Marriott Bonvoy Points with Uber is impressive, and includes 3X points on Uber XL, Comfort, SUV and UberBlack rides, as well as 6X on UberEats orders delivered to a Marriott Hotel and 2X on orders delivered anywhere else in the USA, like home or the office.

If you are hungry and order $100 of delivery, you’d earn 200 points at any location outside of a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, or 600 points if you’re ordering delivery to a hotel in the program. Do that a few times, and you’re inching towards a free night.

To benefit from the new partnership, you’ll first need to link your Marriott Bonvoy account with Uber to select the earning partnership. According to the sign up terms, you must have a US phone number to benefit. It’s unclear whether Bonvoy members abroad could benefit from this while traveling in the United States, but it’s worth a try!

There’s apparently also a 2,000 point one time bonus for completing the link and completing a qualifying activity, like a ride or $25+ food delivery before the end of May. If you can earn thousands of Marriott Bonvoy Points from placing delivery orders you were going to anyway, there’s really a lot to love. Spoiler alert: you can!
