Update: thanks to reader Andy for passing on the specifics of the cancellation, we can now confirm that the dates are flexible, for up to two changes. That’s great news for any prospective buyers…

The Conrad Bali is a perennial fun in the sun favorite, with luxury rooms, a great pool and of course, the beaches of Bali on its doorstep. That’s rarely a bad combo. Right now, the hotel is offering some superb rates, albeit with a few caveats for travel all the way through December 25th, 2021. Here’s everything you need to know…

The Conrad Bali Save Now, Stay Later Deal

The five star Conrad Bali is offering a unique deal for future stays, whereby any two night bookings cost just over 1.1 million Indonesian Rupiah – aka $75, plus tax per night. All in, you’re looking at $89 per night, which is less than half the typical going rate. Why the great deal? You need to book by May 31st, 2020 to enjoy it, and you need to at least specify some dates to lock it in.

This is where the deal gets a bit interesting. First, the hotel claims it won’t award Hilton Honors Points on the stays, but will honor all guest benefits that come with Hilton status. Bit of a mixed bag there, but very fair given the extreme discount on rate.

The next interesting point of contention is that the hotel initially claimed the reservation is “not modifiable”, yet that clashes with Hilton’s global catch all stating that any and all reservations made before June 30th are changeable and can be cancelled. The hotel has since amended it’s policy to…

“We would offer flexibility to our guest should the condition not getting clear. You may amend the dates of arrival twice after making the reservations. It is minimum two nights length of stay.” For reference, here’s the policy from Hilton.”

Hilton spells out just what they mean pretty darn clearly in their own policy

New Reservations. Any individual reservations you make—even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”)—that are booked between today and June 30, 2020 for any future arrival date can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival day.

Theoretically the hotel could play hardball and make the changes less than pleasant, but would ultimately need to adhere to the global catch all Hilton guidance that any reservation, even a special promotion can be changed or cancelled for a different date “at no charge” up to 24 hours before.

How To Book This Deal And Save

If you’re a Conrad Bali fan, and have a trip to the Indonesian paradise on your road map for late 2020, or 2021, this is a super way to save. The offer has its own quirks, but particularly for summer travel 2020, laying less than $100 USD a night for a five star hotel is great, and spending $350 for a four night stay (you can book an unlimited number of two night strays) isn’t a huge investment in a lot of travel happiness. Of course, it’s all personal.

If you do want to book…

The only want to book is to quote rate “SNSL” by emailing reservations@conradbali.com. It’s best to offer up travel dates to save an email in the chain when the hotel replies back asking for them. This promotion definitely isn’t for everyone, but is a really great offer many will enjoy immensely, particularly with elite benefits honored. Enjoy the trip!

  1. It’s an OK hotel. Have you been to the beaches in Nusa Dua? Like most of Bali they are not good. Rooms are old but yes the pool is great.

I’d rather stay in Legion or Seminyak . $89 is only a mediocre deal given the hotel selection in Bali. You can skip the beach and stay at Alia Ubud for $149 almost always. I’d take that over the Conrad any day. People going to Bali need to plan on not going to gen beach! It’s not nearly as nice as what you may imagine.

    1. I personally stay at either viceroy or somewhere off the main island in Nusa Lembongan or out that way. Many people love the hotel.

    2. The Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua has a very nice beach. Legian is fine if you’re looking for big waves but Sanur or Nusa Dua have much nicer swimming beaches.

  2. Was disappointed with our stay here. Was upgraded to a club room – miles from reception. But wasn’t allow to use the club benefits.

  3. It was all going swimmingly until the sentence: “The only want to book is to quote rate “SNSL” by emailing reservations@conradbali.com

That means a cancellation/change requires an ‘unemail’ from them. Hmmmmmm…..

  4. This is what I got when I asked if they were adhering to the cancellation rules on the Hilton website. Still waiting on details of price and availability.

    Warmest greetings from Conrad Bali.
Please to inform that we do prioritize all our guest request based on several aspects. For this particular case, we are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization’s statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies and the local health departments; in this case would be from Indonesian Government regulation as well as other countries regulation. We do care for our customer and partner and we applied the same regulation in this current pandemic.

We would offer flexibility to our guest should the condition not getting clear. You may amend the dates of arrival twice after making the reservations. It is minimum two nights length of stay.

Hope the information suits you well and please do not hesitate to contact us for any further assistant.

  5. Christina Paquin, I do understand your frustration. Myself experienced the same ptoblem. It is quite enoying to send emails to reservations@conradbali.com and inform them of being interested in a 6 night stay…..and to wait for days before any answer comes in.

  6. I received a booking confirmation. In the T and C it says I need to be an Indonesian Citizen with KITAS. I emailed to see if this will be an issue upon arrival. I was not asked of my nationality at any point.
If this is not an issue, I wonder if the Fairmont resident suite deal is flexible too?
