How is this place still under the radar?

Beirut is a gem. A seaside multi faith haven with the Lebanese food we collectively crave, there are few better places to explore in 2019. When people think Lebanon, or the Middle East in general, they don’t often think about wine – and sometimes that’s a real mistake. Lebanon has been a wine growing country for over 6,000 years, and is now home to some of the most stunning wine estates anywhere in the world, just 28km from Beirut in the Beqaa Valley. If you’ve been thinking of giving Beirut a whirl, and were waiting for a whirlwind deal, we’ve got just the sauce…

People hate connections, and today that’s not a problem. There are direct flights from London to Beirut at just £255 round trip in economy. With a flight time under 5 hours in either direction, this is totally manageable.

If you want to fly business class, there are direct flights with flat beds for £1060, but if you don’t mind a connection in Paris you can knock the price down to £1000 round trip. However you slice it, these are awesome prices to see one of the most talked about cities in the world.

The Dates You Can Travel

Spring and autumn are the two best times to visit Beirut, thanks to fewer crowds and temperatures dropping to levels that are more pleasant than scorching summer. Fortunately, that’s exactly when these deals are available.

Great prices start in September and carry on through to June 2020. You’ll find brief blackouts around December holidays, but that’s about it. Most travel dates in 2020 allow short trips of just a couple days, making this a perfect long weekend spot. For the lowest prices in 2019, you’ll need at least five nights, but with the city of Beirut and surrounding valleys to explore, it’s the right amount of time.

Booking should be as easy as enjoying a glass of Chateau Musar 2011, which we highly recommend trying – by the way. Here are links to the best round trip prices from London to Beirut, Lebanon like…

If you want to take prices down further, don’t forget that you can use Avios on any of the British Airways deals to cover some of the cash fare. You’ll also earn Avios back from the booking, which can make this pretty lucrative. The Air France fares in business will earn a solid amount of miles, so figure out who to credit them to here. Enjoy Beirut, you definitely will!
