As far as crazy deals go, it doesn’t get any crazier than this. We’re seeing literally record low prices to Australia and New Zealand. Grab your eye mask, some personal entertainment and hop on the plane to the Land of Oz of Hobbits!

The Deals

We’re seeing two extraordinary sales running concurrently to Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand can be had for as low as $285, with tons of space at $365, meanwhile Australia can be had for roughly $585. Use ITA Matrix, or just price out a search on your favorite online travel agency from Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO) to Auckland (AKL), or search from Detroit (DTW), Salt Lake City (SLC), Atlanta (ATL) or Seattle (SEA) to Sydney (SYD) or Melbourne (MEL), returning to Los Angeles (LAX).

EDIT 10:30AM EST 4/12/2015 The NZ Deals are dead, Australia still possible in $500’s…

The Dates

These fares are wide open right now from July to November. You’ll see dates dry up with every minute that this post is live, so if this is for you, move quickly, knowing you have 24 hours to cancel risk free (since it’s from the US).

CheapOAir.com seems to have the lowest fares to New Zealand but any online booking site should be able to pull up the $365 round trips to New Zealand or the $585 round trips to Australia. Firm up dates as much as possible and lock in a booking.
