Love at first sight isn’t a phrase often used to describe a transit experience, but when you climb into Qatar Airways business class, it’s hard not to. Privacy doors, dine on demand and friendly service mixed with some of the newest planes in the sky make this one heck of a way to fly. And since you can use points to do it, why wouldn’t you?

When Qatar Airways devalued its Privilege Club loyalty program earlier this year, it seemed like great ways to use the Qatar points were on the outs, but a monthly promotion known as “Easy Deals” is changing that. Each month is a new opportunity to redeem up to 50% fewer points for great flights, including in Qatar Qsuites business class, from all over the world.

The Points You Need

You will need a Qatar Airways Privilege Club account, but don’t worry if you don’t already have one. You can make one instantly here. Once you have a Privilege Club account with Qatar, you have three ways to earn or create Privilege Club miles, including by converting credit card points from Capital One or Citi Thank You.

The “Easy Deals” Points Discounts

These Qatar Airways Easy Deals are pretty cool, because they allow you to save lots of points on routes between Doha and the world, in either direction. For starters, Europe to Doha can be had for a mere 21,000 points in business class one way.

You can also fly between Doha and places in Asia like Goa, Phuket, Penang or Hanoi, or from European cities like Manchester, Barcelona, Milan, Brussels, Copenhagen, Zurich and more.

Most cities in Europe will run between 21,000-29,000 points each way, and these deals can be combined with the onward 50% off “Easy Deals” savings to Asia (and back) for the onward segments.

Taxes and fees are generally around $75 per segment, which isn’t bad at all…

You can check out the full list of deals here.

When You Can Travel

These deals are only around for a limited time and must be booked in the month of June. The good news is that you’ve got about 27 more days to figure out the details. The bad news is that the best availability will go fast, because this is all kind of awesome.

Here’s the full details, directly from Qatar Airways…

Book: 2 June 2019 – 30 June 2019

Fly: 1 August 2019 – 30 September 2019

Promo Code: EDEALS619. Promo code is case sensitive.

If this go around doesn’t work for you, fear not – the next carousel of deals should be along next month and we can only hope that this promo becomes as exciting as the monthly Singapore Air Spontaneous Escapes bargains!

qatar qsuites business classGetting The Points In Place

You can create Qatar Airways Privilege Club miles from: Capital One Venture Miles, Citi Thank You Points and Marriott Bonvoy. The rates are as follows:

  • 1 Citi Thank You Point = 1 Qatar Privilege Club Mile.
  • 1.333 Capital One Venture Points = 1 Qatar Privilege Club Mile.
  • 3 Marriott Bonvoy Points  = 1 Qatar Privilege Club Mile.

Important: Don’t transfer your points from Citi, Capital One or Marriott until you find something you actually want to use and are almost ready to book. Also keep in mind that Marriott can take a week to transfer, so you may lose whatever you want before the points get there. From Capital One or Citi, the points should transfer from your account into the Privilege Club in under 24 hours.

How To Book Qatar Business Class

You can find availability for your seats using points by searching on QatarAirways.com or the Qatar mobile app.  Be sure to actually click through to see the discount apply. Yes, the normal prices may appear until you click on a specific flight and cabin. Once you see the discount apply, with avail when you want it, you’re ready to book. At that point, or before, get your points in place and go ahead and lock it in while you’ve got it!
