There’s no doubt that Singapore’s new suites cabin is everything a traveler could dream of – and so much more. It’s got everything found in the sensational Etihad A380 First Class Apartment, but with a comfier chair, bigger bed and vintage champagne. If you can’t be happy here – you’ll never be happy. Sadly, the airline has been blocking availability to test out the new cabin using points, but it appears that may be easing.

Waitlisting Available

We ran a test this morning on both the Singapore to Sydney and Singapore to London routes which are to feature the new suites. You’ll find the new suites on Sydney flights 221 and 232 and London flights 305 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and 322 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays . Both routes features sporadic dates where the new suites now allow waitlisting at the “saver” level, requiring the least amount of points. Needless to say, these will dry up.

But What Does Waitlisting Do?

Waitlisting is a first come first serve way to express interest in a flight. Passengers can even request Singapore to confirm their waitlisting request over the phone, a gesture which Singapore grants from time to time. If waitlisting is available at a “saver” level, it stands a high chance of clearing and becoming real. You must have points ready and available to request a waitlist seat. There is however no guarantee that the airline will confirm the waitlisted seat at any point in advance of 24 hours. Best of luck!
