There’s simply no denying that from time to time, being a VIP feels pretty awesome. Maybe it’s skipping the lines, traveling without bags, or having someone there to greet you when you land. Whatever your pleasure, there are some really cool ways to experience travel at its best.

Luggage Pickup + Delivery

Crazy itinerary? Want to just head out when you arrive? Hate lugging luggage? All valid reasons to look into luggage forwarding or delivery. Basically, for a bit more than the fee of checking a bag, you can have your luggage arrive in advance or get picked up at the airport and dropped off to your hotel, wherever it needs to be. I recommend checking out Luggage Forwarding and AirPortr.

VIP Airline Transfer Meet + Greet

Exotic destination? Tight connection? Peace of mind? Airport meet and greets are awesome. Whether it’s fast tracking you through an airport on a tight connection or just making sure you arrive with ease in a foreign land, airport transfer and meet and greets can be awesome. I personally recommend using the service for connections through unfamiliar foreign airports or arrivals in interesting countries. Skipping the line feels awesome. I recommend Gateway VIP.

Skip The Line Tourist Attraction Access

Want to see the most popular tourist attractions in your destination? So do about one million other people. Fortunately, companies like Viator offer skip the line privileges on many of the world’s best and most famous tours, attractions and so forth. Best of all? It’s an app. Without using Viator, I love using TripAdvisor to find a well reputed guide and inquiring about any special privileges they may offer before booking a tour.

Private Immigration Screening

Immigration cues not your thing? Well, if you want to shell out some substantial dough, you can say goodbye to them forever. In most countries (minus the US) you can pay for private immigration screening, where you’re transported to a VIP (usually private jet terminal) where someone will come and process you through immigration while you sip something cold and enjoy refreshments. London Heathrow is famous for this with their VIP Program…

VIP Dining Reservations + Experiences

What’s in your wallet? If you read this site there’s a fair chance that you have something which can assist in securing some awesome experiences. Many cards offer concierge services and some concierge services have arrangements with certain restaurants for complimentary glasses of champagne as a welcome, or appetizers, desserts, whatever. Even if you don’t have a card with great benefits, you can sign up for Aspire Lifestyle Concierge and other subscription services which can help you eat, drink, take in entertainment and travel like a king… or queen.

Airport Executive Lounge Access

Everyone at some point in life has walked past a sign for “Airport Lounges” and thought “wouldn’t it be nice”. Fortunately, it can be more than nice, it can be real for anyone, simply by downloading an app or signing up for a very reasonable membership program, which secures you access for as little as $19 per visit. Considering it’s open bar, food and wifi in there, it’s a pretty great deal, especially with how over priced terminal food is! I recommend LoungeBuddy, Priority Pass or getting a credit card which includes lounge access annually.
