Who wouldn’t want to fly for free, upgrade to suites or turn a $25,000 vacation into a $2,000 vacation, just with a few tips and tricks. Being a frequent traveler is cool and all, but frequent or not, being a “free” traveler is like… really cool. Points and miles are not just for frequent travelers, they’re for everyone and chances are, you’ve been missing out on a few super easy ways to earn them…

Points For Referring Friends To Free Airline Programs, Hotel Programs, Credit Cards, Bookings Sites…

From time to time (and very often) airlines and hotels will give you miles just for telling a friend to sign up for a free frequent flyer or hotel guest account. Year round, booking sites like Rocket Miles offer miles with virtually any airline for referring friends when they complete a booking. Your credit card? Yep! If you love your card, referring a friend either online or by phone can net between 5,000-18,000 miles per friend. I get 50,000+ miles per year just for referring a few friends (and readers) a few of my favorite cards. More details on the airline and hotel point opportunities HERE

Major Bonus Points For Online Shopping EVEN Without A Credit Card…

This is such a no brainer, which so many people miss out on. You shouldn’t. Even without a points earning credit card, you can get miles for online shopping at all your favorite stores, for the exact same price, just for clicking to your favorite store from an airline website. It’s like referral credit where the airline gets commission on the sale and in exchange they give you miles. There are quite a few opportunities each year where you can earn 20,000 miles just for buying something like a laptop you already need. Everything you need to know HERE.

Just Signing Up… Or Tweeting, Liking Something On Facebook, Entering A Contest…

People never believe these things, but they’re totally true. Having an engaged audience is massive for airlines and hotels, so from time to time, they’ll give you between 250-5,000 miles just for signing up to a promotion, tweeting something, entering a contest or liking something on Facebook. If there’s ever a great offer, you’ll more than likely hear about it on here, but my best tip is to create an email address for airline and hotel accounts so that you receive all their promotions…

Switching Your Phone Plan, Cable Plan, Bank Account…

The promotions vary month by month, but it’s fairly common to grab between 5,000-20,000 miles for switching your cell phone provider, cable plan or bank account. We received 40,000 Citi points, worth $600 in air travel just for opening up a new checking account and paying two bills from the account. This stuff happens all the time so be sure to stay plugged in and ask around about any promotions before you make a switch, there may be miles in it for you. Here’s an example of earning 100,000 miles for $90 out of pocket

5,000 Free Miles (Which Will Become More Valuable)…

Royal Air Maroc wants you to sign up for a family account. What that really means is they want you and your brother, sister, spouse, significant other, partner, whatever to be on one joint account. YOU CARE BECAUSE Royal Air Maroc is joining the Avios (miles) program, which ties into British Airways, Iberia and more, meaning you’ll be able to use these miles towards a flight on one of those Avios (miles) airlines.  The process requires all people (you need two or more) to register for a Royal Air Maroc account, and then follow the instructions to create the family account. This includes sending an email, but hey, it’s 5,000 free miles for a couple forms and sending an email. Full DETAILS HERE.
