Paris is the city of love and I love love a business class deal. Been thinking of Europe and facing an already expensive economy ticket? Flying Open Skies, the boutique subsidiary of British Airways will ensure flat beds, fine dining and the quickest ride into Paris, with the only direct flight to Orly, the much smaller, closer and better airport to the city at a price bordering economy. Au revoir!

The Deal

New York (JFK or EWR) to Paris (Orly) on Open Skies by British Airways Business Class known as BizBed. We’ve reviewed it twice. Virtually the entire calendar is available from now through March at this rate. It’s literally cheaper than Premium Economy and many dates in economy right now. As with all business class deals that fall near economy prices, this won’t last.

You’ll be able to lock in the $1374 by joining AARP. It’s $16 a year, open to all ages and takes seconds to register for online. It also saves you $400 on every British Airways business class purchase. No problems. We are members and we are 28 years old. Once a member online, you click member benefits>travel benefits>air and rail> British Airways and BOOK! It will direct you to the British Airways website with the discount applied where you will have 24 hours to cancel risk free if you change your mind. It’s that easy. If you have a Visa Signature credit card (look on the back), you can enter CARDOFFERU on the payment page and save another 10%!

My Tip

If you sit in the first row or the back row, or the aisle of the business class cabin you’ll have direct aisle access. As for earning miles? You can credit miles to British AIrways, American and other OneWorld partners allowing you to earn a lot of miles! My official expert travel tip is to enjoy the Billecart Salmon, it’s a very fine champagne and when it’s all you can drink it leads to happy times.

I get it, it’s a commitment. If you were facing $1000 for economy I would say that you wouldn’t be a shade disappointed by the heightened experience of a bed on the plane, not to mention the fast track through the airport, lounge and the food. Travel is the best and traveling business means the journey is just as good as Paris, and that’s pretty damn good.
