If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I’m a bit of a pessimist when it comes to most products/ideas. I apologize, but experience has made me so. On a trip to California this last October I decided to try out SilverCar after a fellow blogger raved about it. It wasn’t just hype.

SilverCar is the tech and logic answer to rental cars with the clever addition of “swag”. Aside from liking Audi’s, I also enjoy stress free travel. There is no up selling with SilverCar because they only offer one car and it’s fully loaded. You get an Audi A4 (except Colorado where you have the practical option of a Q5) and it comes with Navigation, bluetooth and all the little things other companies ask me if I would like to add for a fee one by one, which I don’t like.

Upon arrival at the airport a concierge picks you up and brings you to the staging area where your car is ready. If it’s your first time renting they will do a quick check of your license and payment method. If it’s not, they will drop you at your car and the barcode from your phone will unlock the car, very James Bond. We took our Audi A4 to Sonoma Valley for a couple days and aside from loving the functionality of the car, I loved the style as well. Whereas most car companies charge you for extra mileage or for filling up, there is no mileage charge with SilverCar. If you don’t have time to fill up before returning the car, they fill it up for you at local market rate plus a very reasonable five dollar fee.

Rather than taking the world by storm in one go, SilverCar is expanding as demand makes sense. You can currently rent a car in: Miami, Denver, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin and Phoenix, with more locations expected soon.

We are now proud to add SilverCar as an advertising affiliate and bring you $50 off your first rental of two days or more to celebrate your readership! Most rentals are $59 per day, so $50 off means you can get two days of car rental in an Audi A4 for $68 dollars. I’ve seen far inferior rental cars go for much more! Don’t say I never did anything for you. Use the link below to get it done!
