Yesterday I watched Billy Joel, a fellow resident of our small town get picked up in a chopper from his lawn. It didn’t take long to figure out that Billy was commuting to work. He had to play a lesser known venue in New York City called Madison Square Garden in a couple hours time. In this moment of exhilarating envy, I realized that rockstars really do it best when it comes to travel…

Frequent fliers love to argue whether Emirates, Cathay, Etihad, British Airways or Singapore have the best First Class. You know who doesn’t? Rockstars. For those among the crème de la crème: The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, U2, Foo Fighters, Billy Joel, The Who, Elton John and many more, First Class simply doesn’t fly. Big bands, and their egos, require big jets. From the Bombardier Global Express, Boeing Business Jet, Gulfstream G5, Airbus A319 to a private Boeing 767, it’s all glorious. Whether having your own plane saves money on complex multi leg international tours or not, it certainly looks unf***king believable. Here are some inside and out snaps of a few planes known to traffic rockstars… and probably incredible amounts of cocaine.

I believe Noel Gallagher once said that any major rock band who complains about touring should be slapped. After seeing these photos, I agree. How many miles would I need to redeem for one of these babies?
