Happy Friday! After yesterdays news of strikes, rate changes and other complications, the news in brief today is very welcome, a fast track to status, amazing deals to my number one destination, a great discount on Starwood hotels and a new way to book Uber rides…

$199-$299 Deals To Iceland From West Coast USA + Europe

WOW Air is back again with some wowing fares, and unlike all of their previous fares, these deals extend all the way to the West Coast USA, mainly San Francisco and Los Angeles. With the best rates in October and November (and still excellent deals afterward) you can get round trip to Iceland for $299. There are amazing fares all the way to Europe (or the US in the other direction) as low as $300 and the best part is that stopovers in Iceland are free, essentially creating two vacations for the price of one. Book HERE.

20-30% Off Starwood Hotels In Europe + Africa

Starwood and Emirates have teamed up to offer 20-30% off of hotels in Europe and Africa for summer and much of the coming year. Each hotel offers different dates and minimum stay requirements but for 20% off you are generally required a 2 night stay and for 30% off you need a 3-5 night minimum stay in most cases. There’s no need to register or have anything to do with Emirates to take advantage. Just follow THIS link to the sale

Virgin Atlantic Elite Status Fast Track

Virgin Atlantic has somewhat quietly offered a fast track to Gold with an instant bump to Silver elite status for those with elite status on another airline. You don’t lose your current status, you just have the opportunity to gain excellent benefits on Virgin Atlantic and Delta for matching. Full details can be found HERE.

Uber Now Accepting Advanced Bookings

Some awesome news here. Uber is now accepting advanced bookings, allowing you to schedule rides in advance. It’s not a perfect science as you can still be subject to surge pricing, but for those who panic about their ability to hail a ride at the last minute, this should add some ease. Just open the app and give it a whirl. Of course, if you’d like a free ride, use my invite code to grab one, and I’ll get one too for referring you! Free Ride HERE.
