Everyone has a voice, yet very few people get to feel truly heard. This summer I received the opportunity to collaborate with Virgin Atlantic in a position where I could make my voice heard, bringing my thoughts on travel, points and miles directly to their flyers. So wait, an airline wanted a travel writer who's an expert on getting the most out of miles and promotions to speak to their flyers? To teach them how to best earn and use their miles?! I was equally surprised. This month we've collaborated on something new and I truly love it.

Virgin Atlantic has three Flying Club tiers: Red, for general members; Silver, representing elites with a solid level of flying and benefits and Gold, for their top tier elites, showcasing the best the airline has to offer. It's safe to say that the interests and travel needs of the various tiers while somewhat similar, are also different. A top tier Gold flyer is likely flying almost every week, whereas a Red member may be yet to take their first flight. This month Virgin Atlantic begins a great initiative to not only send emails branded to each group of their Flying Club, but to create and develop content unique to each set of members, as such I've been handed the great privilege of creating tips and insights for each individual group Red, Silver and Gold in the US and UK! So, this month I wanted to help Red members learn how to take their mileage earning to the next level, earning miles on every day activities and making the most of flash sale opportunities and bonus miles. The post offers the most uncomplicated advice for earning and using miles humanly possible to bring more people into the game. For Silvers, I want to help them become Gold, because although Silver offers great benefits, Gold offers an entirely different travel experience. It's more precious after all! I examined some simple and efficient insights into earning the tier points necessary to make the jump, including bonus tier point opportunities, strategies for earning with partners and more. For Golds, well, they're gold, they know a lot. I figured the most useful information I could offer would be some personal jet lag tips for globetrotting on a regular basis to stay fresh and functional, whether it's business or pleasure.

I care about bringing actionable uncomplicated advice to travelers in hopes of improving their experiences. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to chat with any airline in an effort to help members understand how to earn and use their miles.
