DEAL ALERT: $427 New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, OR Chicago To CAMBODIA (And Tokyo) Round Trip!

Jungles, ancient cities, elephant rides, decadent food and unforgettable sunsets. Cambodia is everything bucket list travelers desire out of Thailand and Vietnam, but with the increased authenticity that comes from flying just under the radar. Thanks to a world class deal from a top class airline, you can fly there for less than $500.

The Amazing Deal

Al Nippon Airways (ANA), one of the world's best airlines is offering exceptionally good deals to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The country is one of the most sought after destinations in the world, and not only can you see Cambodia on this deal (and Siem Reap), you can even pop into Tokyo too. You can depart New York, Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles and all flights will connect in Tokyo. You can spend up to 23 hours 59 minutes in Tokyo at no additional cost, or for $100, you can stay longer.

The Dates At This Price

This fare is available from September 2016 to June of 2017. With these extreme deal fares, there are only a few seats at these prices on each flight, so if you are not able to get the price on your first try, plug in new dates. You'll need to fly between Monday and Thursday in both directions to get the best prices. There may be blackout periods around the December/January holiday but it's worth a search.

Booking The Beautiful Deal

You can book (and search) this deal easily by using Google Flights. Simply enter your origin city and then PNH (Phnom Penh, Cambodia) with a Monday-Thursday departure and the same for the return. Google will show you dates at which the fare is bookable for $427. Once you find it, follow the instructions to book. If you want to build in a stopover. Enter, your starting point to TYO, then TYO to PNH, then PNH to TYO and then TYO back to your starting point in the multi city booking window. The price will be higher but you'll be able to stay in Tokyo longer.

Expert Tips

I would argue that Singapore Airlines and ANA miles are the most valuable Star Alliance miles, and and are an excellent choice for earning miles from these flights. Be sure to enter your frequent flyer number from either program to earn miles. I highly recommend using a free stopover in Tokyo to make a most of the energetic and (awesome) city on the way, or on the way back. Maybe both. Enjoy.
