UK Approves 3rd Heathrow Runway...

Officials in the UK have approved a third runway for London Heathrow, amid truly massive controversy. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic hate the move, local government officials and residents hate the move, yet in many ways it marks an exciting opportunity. The third runway will drastically increase capacity, create demand for jobs and offer more direct flights to more places, with further competition from outside carriers. I'll stay neutral here, but it's happening, though with legal challenges we shouldn't realistically expect anything until 2021-2022.

Malaysia Airlines Introducing 700 Passenger A380...

If you laughed out loud or let your bottom jaw hit the floor when you read that Emirates would introduce a 615 passenger Airbus A380, the largest passenger plane at the time, you may get an extra dose of hilarity or disgust with the news that Malaysia Airlines will configure some of their A380's to feature 700 or more seats, in an all economy layout. The flights will almost entirely be used to transport religious pilgrims on their journey to Mecca. I'm not quite sure the deities that exist envisioned their supporters being transported like their other creations on earth, most notably, live stock. Hey, business is business...
