British Airways AARP Discount Increased In Economy + Premium Economy...

If you want to save between $100-$400 on any British Airways ticket that starts in the US, perk up. Even if you don't live in the US but fly British Airways, you'll want to perk up. AARP, an organization which literally anyone can join for $16 per year, offers a $400 discount on all British Airways business or first class tickets. They've now (just this week) upped their economy discount to $100 off any fare and brought it to an even higher $200 for premium economy. That's fantastic news. If you plan to return to the US multiple times, booking a one way to position for a deal from the US to take advantage of the discount can be lucrative. Everything you need to know about using the discount HERE.

787 Goes.... Vertical... Amazing.

The Farnborough Airshow (FIA) is live right now and as usual, all the best test pilots in the world are showing off the incredible capabilities of modern aircraft. Here's a video of a brand new ANA (Al Nippon Airways) 787-9 going for a rather dramatic take off. Just watch, enjoy...

Virgin Atlantic US Credit Card Offer Increased...

Virgin Atlantic does not have the most valuable miles, but for some, they have excellent value. They can be used on partners like Virgin America, Singapore, South African and they of course can be used on Virgin Atlantic. You'll pay surcharges on Virgin Atlantic flights, which take away some of the fun, but paying $400 and 40,000 miles to fly one way in Upper Class is certainly not sad. The offer has been upped to 20,000 miles after first purchase, 5,000 for adding an authorized user and a whopping 50,000 more if you spend 12k in 6 months (2k per month) for your first six months of card membership. If London to New York or vice versa is your thing, it's not a terrible option, though you'd avoid surcharges with the Delta cards. Link HERE.
