If you’re new, WELCOME. It’s truly great to have you. I didn’t start this site to write cryptic info that only a few frequent flyer nerds could understand. I want to bring the joys that come from using points, miles and savvy travel tricks well to everyone. There are a few key points which I think can really help those new to the travel bug get started on the right foot…

NOT Every Article Will Be For You…

You like Delta, I like M&M’s, we all have different passions. Sometimes articles on the site won’t be of specific necessity to you. That does not however mean that you shouldn’t read them. Learning about other programs or opportunities is one of the best ways to become an expert on value and know which miles to collect. Stay interested and keep searching for content that helps you, even if you’re not sure…

Get A Grip On The Basics…

I have a Beginners Guide, which offers useful information on some basic starter steps and interesting ideas to get you hooked. In general, start by signing up for frequent flyer programs, you don’t need to be a frequent traveler or travel at all presently to benefit. Second, figure out how to earn points for everything you do. There are ways to earn miles without leaving home and from every purchase you make. Next you’ll want to learn how to master things like upgrades, finding seats using miles and all of that. It’s all in the Beginners Guide, HERE.

Learn How To Hunt For Hotel AND Airline Deals…

What’s the number one way to enjoy a travel site? Travel more. We are very average people and we manage to travel quite a lot thanks to great deals and opportunities that present themselves. When great things pop up, don’t hesitate, many only last mere hours let alone days. For example, last year we got round trip business class tickets from New York to London for $686 plus 30,000 miles, which is less than an economy ticket was at the time. There was a bonus promotion going on at the time which gave 25,000 extra miles for each business class trip, so in the end we made 35,000 miles per person. Pretty cool. I have some good posts covering deal hunting for HOTELS HERE and for FLIGHTS HERE. My tips for business class deals are HERE too…

Plan Your Dream Travel, Create A Strategy To Make It Happen…

Want to go to Fiji using miles? Who knew Alaska Airlines might be the best program to earn miles with? Who also knew that you could earn Alaska miles for flights on American, British Airways, Emirates, Delta and more? This is where strategy matters. Figure out which airline offers the best rates to places you want to go and which hotel chain has the best properties for the least points and make it happen. I’ve got a lot of strategy info on that kinda stuff HERE if you scroll to Using Your Airline Miles….

ENJOY…

We all work hard, so putting in the work before and during planning will mean pure enjoyment when you travel. I can’t think of anything better and I wish everyone unforgettable trips. Seriously.
